* Condom sales in the US are more than 500 million annually.

* Women purchase over one-third of all condoms sold in the US.

* Worldwide condom production has reached 9 billion annually, but in a world of over 6 billion people, there is still plenty of room for growth in that number.

* Every condom sold in the US is electronically tested to ensure it has no holes that even an electron can pass through.

* The latex used to make condoms is a natural product, the sap from rubber trees.

* Condoms are an excellent method of birth control. Used properly and consistently, condoms are 98% effective at preventing conception.

* Studies have found that even with repeated sexual contact with an infected partner, latex condoms reduce the chance of HIV infection by 99%.

* “Lambskin” condoms have been found to be ineffective in preventing infection of HIV and other STDs, and should not be used for this purpose.

* Oil and products containing oil, such as most hand and skin lotions, can rapidly damage latex and cause a condom to fail. Always use water-based or silicone lubricants with latex condoms. Never use products such as Vaseline orbaby lotion with a latex condom.

* Large-size condoms are made for comfort, not because smaller ones might break. Latex can stretch more than 800% without breaking. You can even pull one over your head (as this video shows) but please, don’t try this at home!

* Condoms make the best water balloons.
