How to convert *.pyc to *.py files ?

A few days before, I  accidentally deleted all my Python code while renaming some files. Luckily I had the .pyc files in the working directory. After googling for ways to convert .pyc back to my code, I came across this cool script which lets you do the job hassle free. I got back all my code. Holla!

So I thought I would share the tool and the basic steps to convert your .pyc files back to your code.

Here are the steps to follow:

Download plugin from below link, and extract the ZIP file.

Goto terminal and type following commands:

$ sudo python install
$ uncompyle2 -h (will give you help to process further)

P.S.: It works perfectly on Python 2.7.
