Fix to install python numpy module in Mountain Lion OS

Many users are receiving multiarray error after upgrading from Lion OS to Mountain Lion while trying to Python numpy module.

What happens when you try “import numpy”? Does the traceback still lead to multiarray.so with something like:

If so you need to rebuild with the proper archflags, which in your case I’d assume would be x86_64.

This isn’t a specific problem “for Mountain Lion” numpy or matplotlib. The only compatibility consideration would be the python version, which in your case is fine. My guess is that you just need to force it to build in 64bit only:
